What exactly is constraint optimisation?+
Instead of checking rules after the fact, Shifters uses a combinatorial solver (Google OR-Tools CP-SAT) to build a schedule that simultaneously satisfies all your constraints — rest streaks, shift minimums, vacation days, free weekends, and employee preferences — in seconds.
Can I switch plans later?+
Yes, at any time. Your schedules, history, and employee configurations are always preserved when you upgrade or downgrade.
Is there a per-seat fee?+
No. Each plan is a flat subscription. The employee limit refers to the employees being scheduled, not the people managing the account.
What kinds of teams use Shifters?+
Shifters works for any team running rotating or complex shift patterns — hospitals and clinics, security, retail, hospitality, transport, and any organisation where fair and rule-compliant scheduling matters.
What happens if I exceed my employee limit?+
You will not be able to add more employees until you upgrade. Existing employees and schedules are not affected.
